DPA 4011ES is the same Cardioid Condensor that everyone knows and loves but in an ultra compact format with a side address cable. It comes with a 4099 gooseneck enabling use of any 4099 clip! We like to use these on the piano magnetic mounts and place inside grand pianos when you need a great sound with the lid closed, or on stands for choirs and orchestras. You can even use on strings!
Ideal for unobtrusive spot miking, such as hanging or table use, the 4011E is an ultra-compact cardioid microphone from the modular DPA d:dicate Recording Microphones series.
 
With a length of only 3,5 cm, the low-key appearance of the 4011E is followed by the SM4000-C suspension mount, which is included in the package. This allows the 4011E to be hung from the ceiling and create precise and repeatable positions and angles when spot miking orchestra sections or ambience atmospheres.
 
Capable of handling high SPLs without distortion, the 4011E is perfectly tailored for close-miking applications, minimizing bleed from other instruments. Therefore chosen for close-miking of instruments like acoustic guitar, drums or grand piano, the 4011E with its accessories can be placed for instance in the piano frame.   
 
 
At any time and with no tools necessary it is possible to transform the basic 4011E microphone into a new configuration by combining it with another DPA microphone capsule or preamp.
